Sergey S. Shirin’s information portal
Sergey S. Shirin is my real name. I live in Velikiy Novgorod and work in Saint Petersburg, Russia, two hundred kilometres away from my home. I know it’s too far. Therefore I hear very often I’m an idiot. And I hear very often I’m a hero. Actually, I’m at ease on this long journey. I never waste my time and always keep myself busy. For instance, this website was made on journey.
I’m an associate professor at the chair International humanitarian relations of the School of international relations, St. Petersburg State University.
On this website, you can find all the information about my online activities which include
- studying information science at the Internet University of Computer Science;
- moderating the online conference about internetional humanitarian contacts MGS.ORG.RU (in Russian);
- doing researches in web science (see my website shirin.ws for further information);
- promoting the international public organisation “International Autosurfing Association“;
- discussing internet economics on the forum “Talk Gold“;
- keeping in touch with friends via Facebook.
My colleagues and students can find the programs of all my lectures on the website of the School of International Relations of St. Petersburg State University, and my comments to some actual international events on the blog of the World Association of International Studies.
You can find links to all the documents I provide on the Web here, on the website SergeyShirin.Info. Thus it is my information portal (the Greek word Portal means entrance).
